What is COW?
Cow stands for Creature of the Week and is a weekly art contest. No prizes except honour. A chance to show off your style and run wild with your imagination.
Who runs it?
Currently it is TurkeyonaStick.
How's it work?
We post a weekly topic every monday. It's pretty vague for lots of room for interpretation. Then there's a week for entries until a vote thread goes up the following monday (along side the next COW topic)

I once lifted turkeyonastick whilst naked. Ask him, it involved a lot of alcohol and a cliff on the East Coast of England. This beats any photograph.

where am i creature- draw a creature in its habitat and show it being camoflauged
sleeping beast- draw a creature sleeping and if its nocturnal or not.
one armed creature-i think you get that one...
portal defender creature-draw a creature that would protect newgrounds from bad submissions xD
human support-draw a creature that can either be a human pet or a wild animal that can protect humans from any type of harm.
anime creature >.<- draw a creature that looks like it would be in an anime...i hate anime lol
toxic- draw a creature that would produce toxins
greed-draw a creature that can be used for human benefit
mirror mirror on the wall-draw yourself as a creature
razor sharp- draw a creature that has blades attached to it
mythical legends- draw a creature and also write a mythical legend about it (i.e Jesus) xD!!
twins- draw creatures that are always born in pairs of two and explain the pros and cons of being a twin of a creature.
space odessy- draw a creature that can be launched into space and list what its job is...n space..lol
lol creature- draw a creature that will make you laugh either appearance or comedy.
beauty and the beast- draw a creature that is beautiful (i.e whales) :]

The world of tomorrow..... what kind of creatures would there be as evolution takes place? ....Would all the creatures have giant brains then?
creature that has 3 of every body parts........ 3 eyes, 3 arms, 3 fingers, 3 legs, 3 mouths, 3 teeth etc.......

Lethal creation - A creature that somehow killed it's creator
Symbiosis - Two creatures that live in mutual symbiosis (non-parasitical)
Suppiler/Domesticated creature/Dependence/etc...I'm having a hard time naming it. - A creature whose services we require. A'la camels provide transport for desert people, reindeer provide food and skin for the Sami people, sledge dogs are required for dog sledges etc. Bleh, I'm not a good explainer but I hope the point is understandable.
Pollution Clearer - Pretty self-explantory, a creature that clears either air pollution, oil pollution, trash etc.
Raging Wrecker - A creature that spends it's every awake hour running around and wrecking everything like an angry bull.
ToasT had a kinda similar idea to lethal creature but with a twist, so yoiu might see something along those lines shortly.
I like the pollution clearer as well :)

How about a Cyborg Creature? Could have been created for any type of purpose (Excavation, transport, surveillance, beast of burden...) and could run on any type of technology (Steam, plasma, diesel...).
I love these CoW threads as some of the people in them are really talented, and I am doing my drawing for the current oneas I type this ! Keep this going, it's good practice for me, although I wish I joined sooner...
Cyborg has been mentioned before, but I feel it would stray too far from the creature aspect. :(
Yeah a lot of talented people join in the COW threads which is why I think they have kept going for so long. At 65 weeks there's not really a foreseeable end to the COW coming anytime soon, so you'll have lots of chances to join in :)

More ideas maybe?
Closet Creatures (creatures that live inside your closet, living off what's in it, maybe living in your dirty laundry)
Shy Sights (creatures that are very beautiful, but shy and timid and hide from humans)
Pompous Pals (animals that are very cocky, and arrogant... like peacocks)
I like all them ideas :3
Closet creatures: could be good as it'll probably be monster based. Might make a groovy halloween theme.
Shy Sights: Could be rather inetresting, lots of room for creativity.
Pompius pets is lush though, I wanna do that :3

Woo, got some more ideas
Creature Crusaders or Superhero Sidekicks (basically animals that are superhero-like, fight crime or something)
Sleep Inducer (creature that brings about sleep to others, maybe even brings dreams)
The Last of it's Kind (the last animal of a rare species)
Urban Camouflage (an animal that uses camouflage to blend in to urban society, maybe like an animal has tile like skin so it can blend in with your kitchen floor or a grainy appearance so it can blend in with sidewalks)
I like superhero sidekicks,
Sleep inducer could be done, it's a bit similar to some previous topics. But it could very well be done.
Last of It's Kind, excellent idea!
urban camo could be interesting but think that would be a scene and not a creature.

The waste land after a nuclear war

We've have biohazardous beast which could be similar to a nuclear war topic, we could put a different spin/direction on it though, something like, last creature alive on Eart or the sole survivor of a war creature.
Igor is a human so wouldn't be appropriate for a cow.
Jack o' latern? I don't think there's enough creative direction in that as a topic.
